Picture Day Rescheduled

Picture day has been rescheduled from Wednesday, April 1 to Monday, April 6.

Welcome Back!

Dear Parents,

  This quarter we are going to assign two book projects for reading homework. Students need to select a fiction chapter book that is grade level appropriate. It can be a book that they are currently reading independently. The first project will be assigned on Monday, April 6 and due Friday, April 17. Students should choose their book and begin reading as soon as possible so they can begin working on their project. Please have them share their book of choice with me by Thursday for approval. Their reading homework for this week is to select a book and read each night for at least 20 min.

*** Picture day is Wednesday, April 1. Individual and class picture forms are in your child’s backpack today.

Case 21 Dates

Please have your student spend some time on Lexia, TenMarks and Conceptua to refresh their math and reading skills.

Field Trip to Wakefield High School Drama Snow White

Tomorrow we have our field trip to WHS to see Snow White. We leave by 10:00 and will return around 12:15 to school in time for lunch.

FYI we will not be tracking out of our room (119).

Report cards go home on Friday.

CASE 21 POSTPONED!

Case 21 has been postponed until after track out. I will update you as soon as I know about the dates. Sorry for the confusion. We were just notified this morning. Have a wonderful day.

Reminders for Upcoming Week

Hello third grade families! Below is the email that I sent 2/27. Please have students return their biography note taking sheet 3/2. Case 21 testing is still on for 3/2 and 3/3. As far as I know the field trip to Wakefield High to see the play Snow White is still on. 

I just wanted to remind everyone that on Monday and Tuesday we have Case 21 benchmark testing on all of the standards taught this quarter. Please have your student take some time each day to keep skills sharp by completing assignments on TenMarks. Specifically, area, perimeter and fractions. Also, There are assignments I have posted on Conceptua for fractions. Both of these websites are on my blog. As my son was working on assignments his teachers in middle school had posted, I again was reminded how times have changed and technology makes communication and learning ongoing!

Hopefully everyone is taking notes for their biography research. I sent an email on Monday with the information for the websites and an attachment of the note taking sheet. Please spend time on Lexia too. 

Looking forward to seeing my third graders soon. I hope they are having fun and enjoying this winter wonderland!
